Hi Tap, I have just read the Lead Article on DM, The Pope is to Resign
February 28th. There is more to this than we are being told.
Pope Benedict in shock resignation: Pontiff, 85, is first in 600 years to stand down because he 'no longer has the strength to carry on'
Pontiff, 85, says strength 'no longer adequate due to his advanced age'
'I have had to recognise my incapacity to adequately fulfill the ministry'
Made the decision in 'full freedom' but is aware of 'gravity of gesture'
Doctor advised him 'not to take transatlantic flights for health reasons'
Will retire on February 28, a decision that shocked even the Vatican
He will be first Pope to stand down since Gregory XII quit in 1415
REGARDS ........ WASP
TAP - maybe the paedophile witchhunt is getting too close to home. He was making speeches saying that in his view not all was wrong with it only the Christmas before last, which we blogged quoting the Belfast telehraph, which was the only newsprint media to run the story.

Pope's Christmas Message - Child Rape Is Normal.
The world's leading child rape advocateSometimes a piece of news jumps out of the page and grabs you by the throat. Here's one. We are getting used to paedophiles being given non-custodial sentences by courts, and seeing increasing numbers of children being seized by the state to be lodged in child rape centres - sorry children's homes, run by the Social Services.
We know that the Lisbon Treaty did not carry any exclusion to paedophilia from the list of permitted sexual orientations, as was the case in all previous treaties. We know that children disappear from the streets every day never to be seen again, and there is no reporting of this in the national newspapers - since the Madeleine McCann case, that is. Kate McCann said she was astounded to find that the world believed that child pornography was becoming acceptable in more and more European countries, and that child sexual exploitation was now a vast multi-billion dollar industry protected at high level.
This we know.
What we did not expect was a Happy Christmas message from Christ's representative on earth stating that paedophilia and child pornography are now considered as normal and permitted activities by the church.
Yet here is exactly that.
Where please is David Cameron, our Prime Minister on this? Presumably his silence indicates that he approves. OK what will Nigel Farage say? Someone must tell the Pope to park these notions in the sewer where they belong. Did anyone ever imagine that the supposed forces of good in the world would be so comprehensively captured by evil. Britain has to stand apart from the European liking for the breaking of innocent lives by perversion and filth. If the Pope won't say it, then I will. But will some public figure please do something to stop this before it drives our society in on itself. The world is being taken over by paedophiles.
EXTRACT - Victims of clerical sex abuse have reacted furiously to Pope Benedict's claim yesterday that paedophilia wasn't considered an “absolute evil” as recently as the 1970s.
In his traditional Christmas address yesterday to cardinals and officials working in Rome, Pope Benedict XVI also claimed that child pornography was increasingly considered “normal” by society.
“In the 1970s, paedophilia was theorised as something fully in conformity with man and even with children,” the Pope said.“It was maintained — even within the realm of Catholic theology — that there is no such thing as evil in itself or good in itself. There is only a ‘better than' and a ‘worse than'. Nothing is good or bad in itself.”
