So-called allergic reactions to food, which are, in most cases, actually reactions to what is done to the food, rather than the food itself, are a significant contributing factor. The body, unsurprisingly, often does not respond well to having food which is processed to death and full of additives put into it.

Way back in the 1970s, I saw a T.V. programme about allergies, in which it was explained that some of the commonest items of food - particularly wheat, sugar and milk - are the worst culprits, when it comes to producing unfavourable reactions of various kinds. At that time, I had suffered from asthma for nearly thirty years. A friend, who knew that I had a very sweet tooth, suggested that I cut out sugar. I took a deep breath and did this, and the asthma disappeared within a very few days.

Another common cause of asthma is crop sprays. I live in Kent, the "Garden of England", and have had most unpleasant re-activations of the asthma, when in the vicinity of orchards. I now make a point of keeping well away from orchards, and refrain from eating locally grown apples and pears.

Yet another factor involved in triggering asthma is the conventional topical treatment of skin symptoms with steroid creams. Suppressed skin symptoms are highly liable to migrate to the respiratory system.

In any given case, the cause can often be determined quite easily. There is the simple process, which produced a most satisfactory result for me, of eliminating one item of food for a few days at a time, to see if that produces an improvement. There is also dowsing - the assistance of a skilled practitioner may be necessary for this. Kinesiology - testing muscle reactions - can also be very useful.

I was a homoeopath for many years, and found this system of treatment most effective for asthma. Acupuncture can also be very good, and there are many herbal remedies for this condition. The proper hydration of the body, through drinking plenty of water, can also be most beneficial.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30136383.post-18460823675340424992013-11-02T14:36:15.515+00:002013-11-02T14:36:15.515+00:00I / We humans have the right to know the truth.
