Much of Europe is the same. The Anglo-Saxon notion that ordinary Joes are entitled to hold an opinion and express it strongly is alien to much of Europe, where cultures of consensus predominate.<BR/><BR/>Either way, the French trying to smack down the Irish is going to go down like a lead balloon in that independent-minded nation.<BR/><BR/>The Germans are fed up with the Euro and want the D Mark back.
