Google takedown notification. Diana of course.

COMMENT - BB Wolfe. said...

Al Fayed financed this documentary and it's owned by his film company (Allied Stars), so he's enforcing his copyright. The question for me is,whether the film was essentially pulled because they couldn't get insurance against libel actions. I would've thought Al Fayed would leak the film himself if he wanted the "truth" to be out there. If HE isn't going to distribute the film, then why enforce his copyright? Has he got other plans?

TAP - someone's bothered by the documentary Unlawful Killing - the 'movie' of the inquest into the assassination of Diana.  I received a notification as follows -

to meblogger-dmca-n.
Blogger has been notified, according to the terms of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), that certain content in your blog is alleged to infringe upon the copyrights of others. As a result, we have reset the post(s) to \"draft\" status. (If we did not do so, we would be subject to a claim of copyright infringement, regardless of its merits. The URL(s) of the allegedly infringing post(s) may be found at the end of this message.) This means your post - and any images, links or other content - is not gone. You may edit the post to remove the offending content and republish, at which point the post in question will be visible to your readers again.

A bit of background: the DMCA is a United States copyright law that provides guidelines for online service provider liability in case of copyright infringement. If you believe you have the rights to post the content at issue here, you can file a counter-claim. In order to file a counter-claim, please see http://www.google.com/support/bin/request.py?contact_type=lr_counternotice&product=blogger.

The notice that we received, with any personally identifying information removed, will be posted online by a service called Chilling Effects at http://www.chillingeffects.org. We do this in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). You can search for the DMCA notice associated with the removal of your content by going to the Chilling Effects search page at http://www.chillingeffects.org/search.cgi, and entering in the URL of the blog post that was removed.

If it is brought to our attention that you have republished the post without removing the content/link in question, then we will delete your post and count it as a violation on your account. Repeated violations to our Terms of Service may result in further remedial action taken against your Blogger account including deleting your blog and/or terminating your account. DMCA notices concerning content on your blog may also result in action taken against any associated AdSense accounts. If you have legal questions about this notification, you should retain your own legal counsel.

Sincerely,

The Blogger Team

Another takedown  I just noticed.

TAP - I have no intention of reposting the documentary.  Can anyone understand what they are saying about Chilling Effects?  That site has been told to take the film down, it seems.  So what use is it me linking to them anyway?  The copyright is not affected.

Looking back it was a comment that posted the link onto The Tap.  Is this Google over-reacting or trying to be a bit threatening?  It's going to be time to quit Google before long.

I think it might be time to think about moving away from the blogger platform and google. Try switching to something like wordpress and on a seperate server.

Would be a shame to lose this blog because of google shutting you down.

All written in gobbledeegook of course - no attempt at clear understandable communication. Bureaucracy of the mind in action.

I had wondered if Al Fayed financed it, seemed that way.

If they cut it down to just observation of the media and jury process and the Diana I/V clips, it would be a better doco.

I've often thought it would be great to have a Tap forum (SMF or phpBB are the most popular and are easier to setup than you think).

Now that would be an exchange of ideas!

I've done it myself before and moderated along with others. Obviously, there's the time issues to keep tabs on it, getting volunteers to moderate, server rental issues, etc.

Still would be great though as alternative to, say, David Icke's forum.

david ickes forum and website is not democratic. He takes everyones elses info and passes it as his own, the Tap is good ike this nd gives credit to each truth researcher.
Icke also follows the line that everything is natzi this and natzi that, natzis were National Socialists, what we have now is communism exactly as rothchild and the cambridge spies said we would have by the year 2000.
The only man in history to stand up against the NWO and the march of the jews was adolf hitler,
Icke and henry makow still promote the gas chambers idea, which has long been dismissed by scholars

  7. Hi Tap
Move over to WordPress.com, I think you can import (not sure)

We use the WordPress.org self hosted system, much more flexibility.
Good luck and don't give up.

Been reading your blog for a while now, thanks for all the excellent info, re Google, i deleted all my Google accounts a while ago, including deleting my blog, 2 years worth of work, got it backed up though for reference.

  9. You can normally find ANY files in the Warez forums and sharing groups, they list their stuff on download FTP sites which are outside of the jurisdiction of the US courts (for now).

You can find any kind of music, software, ebooks and movies you like. Latest hit series or the latest block busters.

The links don't last long before the industry teams find and report them.

But since the Diana thing went viral this week, someone is trying VERY hard to get this out of circulation.

Links are going down almost as soon as they are up.

Whoever is at work, they've put the fear up all these companies who are normally pretty laxed about taking down links for the lates Bond movie etc.
