Gough Whitlam RIP - Australia's JFK.

''Australia mourns the passing of its 21st Prime Minister, the Honourable Edward Gough Whitlam AC QC,'' says the current Prime Minister Mr. Tony Abbott. On this Mr. Abbott is speaking for the nation. ''We remember his lifetime of service to Australia in the Royal Australian Air Force, as a parliamentarian, as Prime Minister and as an ambassador. Gough Whitlam was a giant of his time. He united the Australian Labor Party, won two elections and seemed, in so many ways, larger than life. ''
At a reception in Sydney, we can rememember Mr. Whitlam leaning for support on the then PM John Howard so that he could stand out of respect for The Queen. Her Majesty greeted Mr and Mrs Whitlam warmly, and chatted for some time.

Gough Whitlam, the former Australian prime minister has died at the age of 98.
He led the country through a period of turbulence from 1972 to 1975 an episode that ended with his controversial dismissal and defined Australian politics for a generation.
His government eliminated military conscription and capital punishment, introduced universal health care and free university education.
However, the opposition controlled the Senate and they did everything they could to hamper his programme, sparking a constitutional crisis that culminated in his dismissal by Sir John Kerr, the Governor-General and the Queen's representative.
After his dismissal Mr Whitlam addressed a crowd outside Parliament House.
"Well may we say 'God save the Queen', because nothing will save the Governor-General," he said pointedly, following his official private secretary who had finished his statement with the then customary words: "God save the Queen."
His time in office has been used by republicans ever since as an example of how the old colonial power imbalance lives on.

TAP - There's definitely more to the Gough Whitlam story.  I'll keep digging.  He withdrew all Australian military forces from Vietnam, and adopted a policy of defending Australia, refusing to take part in wars around Asia and elsewhere.  In the light of what we now know about the NWO and Freemasonry, this would have been totally unacceptable to the war-hungry banking networks that control politics, the media and all else.  I remember reading that Gough Whitlam was well onto these secret forces John Kennedy-style, but unlike JFK, his political career was assassinated, rather than the person.  The post detailed the dirt that was falsely put out about him seems to have been removed from The Tap.

With Australia now involved in bombing Syria and other Middle Eastern wars, his passing this week is poignant.  Australia is a slave to the bankers, owned from Washington as a corporation called The Commonwealth Of Australia.

I was in Australia in 1972 for nine months, and remember some of the events.  Gough Whitlam received the full media treatment making him out to be a complete idiot.  He was in fact the last Prime Minister who tried to set Australia free.

Well may we say "God save the Queen", because nothing will save the Governor-General! The Proclamation which you have just heard read by the Governor-General's Official Secretary was countersigned Malcolm Fraser, who will undoubtedly go down in Australian history from Remembrance Day 1975 as Kerr's cur. They won't silence the outskirts of Parliament House, even if the inside has been silenced for the next few weeks ... Maintain your rage and enthusiasm for the campaign for the election now to be held and until polling day.

~ [Gough Whitlam] On hearing the proclamation dismissing him from office, which ended with the traditional "God Save the Queen."

  3. The White Lamb is no more. The greatest statesman and reformer Australia has ever known didn't quite make a century - Gough Whitlam rounded off at 98 today.
In three short years this visionary Labor Prime Minister introduced free health care, free university education, land rights for Aboriginal people, sweeping divorce and family law reforms, ended conscription and involvement in the Vietnam War, freed the conscientious objectors, ended the notorious vestiges of the 'White Australia' policy, abolished the death penalty and sex discrimination, introduced welfare for single mothers, recognised and visited China - the first western leader to do so - and utterly transformed the face and substance of the nation despite endless attacks by a COALition that had ruled unopposed for a generation and detested him for beating them.
Now those who helped bring him down by blocking supply (money) to the government and strangling the country into economic chaos blithely blame him for the poisoned fruits of their actions. They denounced all of his reforms but revoked none of them when placed in power by fiat of the Queen's cur, the 'Governor General', in an unconstitutional coup.
Black budget CIA slush funds piped full page ads into every newpaper on behalf of major corporations, all blackening his name. The media was twisted against him in well documented intelligence ploys. His party and staffers were infiltrated by well-known CIA identities. At least they didn't just shoot him, as the same players did to Allende in Chile a couple of years earlier.
Amid all the acclamations and declarations of adulation by those who stabbed him in the back, the elephant in the room - that finally knocked him off in the country's notorious 1975 coup engineered by MI6 and the CIA - isn't even mentioned.
The fact that a tiny allied country threatened to evict US bases at the height of the Cold War is rarely brought up, but that's the reason his democratically elected government was removed by higher 'intelligence' powers whose identities are still unrecognised, despite being well known at the time.
But history is rewritten and erased all the time.
