Petrol price 'rigged for a decade'

Motorists may have paid thousands of pounds too much for their petrol over the last decade, after two of Britain’s biggest companies were raided on suspicion of manipulating oil prices.

MPs and energy experts have raised fears motorists have been “taken for a very expensive ride”, after officials searched the offices of BP and Shell for evidence of price-rigging.
The companies are suspected of distorting the oil price since 2002, meaning drivers have potentially been ripped off for more than 10 years.

Over that time, petrol prices have risen dramatically by more than 80 per cent to around 135p per litre.
European investigators, who raided the London offices of BP and Shell, said the alleged price-rigging could have had a “huge impact” on the cost of oil, including the price of fuel for consumers.

The investigation into market-fixing already has echoes of the Libor scandal, which saw the banks falsely report key interest rates used to calculate mortgages. It cost several British banks hundreds of millions of pounds in fines.

TAP - Petrol prices have been rigged since 'gas' was first sold.  They kept the price well below alcohol to start with, while they built market share.  It costs nothing to produce as it was, in the beginning, a waste product of the pharmaceutical industry.  Then they bribed Congress to prohibit the production of alcohol and created an effective monopoly.  All through the last hundred years, the price has been rigged upwards usually by multiplying the price 5 times over very short periods- such as WW1 and WW2, the 1973 false 'crisis' and since 2001 til today.

And what about diesel?  That was originally brought in as a cheaper fuel per litre than petrol/gas, as well one that delivered more mpg.  Now it's more expensive than gas/petrol.  It is a filthy disgusting fuel.  I hate it when I'm walking on the street and some diesel-powered neighbour sets off.  It triggers asthma and coughing as well as filling the lungs with stinking noxious chemicals and tiny particles that are carcinogenic.  Get rid of diesel vehicles, please.  You are gassing yourselves, diesel drivers as well as your neighbours.  It's pure depopulation agenda and you're cooperating with it.

Hi Tap, No chance of our Government being involved then.
They take the biggest 'cut' out of the sales, so I cannot see them being involved then.
Most of our Government are Freemasons, so it's not going to be simple is it.
I thought supply and demand was the main factor, as people use less fuel the price goes up, and up, and up.
Have I got that right, well that,s what seems to happen.

  2. Corporations and world government are one and the same. It's the quickest way they have to suppress the growth of the world, to five times fuel prices every now and then

Ditched my car years ago and walk and sometimes bus it now. Bus prices in our area (Greater Manchester) have actually gone DOWN... believe it or not.

Cheaper and healthier to walk or bus it.

Don't buy into the globalist systems. People say they can't live without their car - I feel sorry for them.

However, if they carry on with this attitude then what's it going to be?... petrol, food, rent/mortgage/bills... something WILL have to give as we get squeezed ever-tighter with money constraints.

  4. Healthier food is often cheaper. Taste comes from fresh garlic, ginger, salt, pepper and ingredients can all be fresh locally grown. No packaging required if bought at local markets.

Thats great if you are happy to doff your hat to the Bentleys and Mercs speeding by on empty roads.

These gangsters want you to take the bus, want you to cycle (or they wouldnt hav spent millions of our money building cycle paths similar to those in China)

Its part of Agenda 21. If you like taking the bus or cycling in the wet, thats great, but if not, dont make it any easier for the bastards.
